The farm located in the town of Bot and family owned Bosch Llovet, known as Cal Menescal. According to existing data was built in the early nineteenth century by the ancestor Fuster veterinary profession ("menescal" in Catalan town), but it could be dated from the late eighteenth century.
The transformation of grapes into wine, dates back to before 1860. The existence of a boot capacity of 1600 liters and still retain the old winery, the winemaking tradition attests to our family.
At the end of the last century, small wineries decide to abandon the practice of making table wines or wines ill structured support to delve into the fruit of the grape vines and selected wine making quality.
Celler Menescal, sl, is also at this time, the late twentieth century, when it begins to change and look to the future.
In 2000, we released the first lines of wines, which were: VALL DEL RACÓ white and red and AVUS White. In these years, we've added new commercial references (Avus Red, Avus Sweet, Vall del Pou White and red), we changed the brand of the Vall del Racó corner MAS MENESCAL, likewise modernizing its image and has begun to commercialize all MERCÈ DEL MENESCAL of the line. Under this name we sell: sweet wine, vermouth, mellow wine and one spectacular Balsamic Vinegar . The latter is the latest product to see the light and is now one of our proncipals exponents.
